Private Yoga

Whether you are a beginner who is a bit shy about starting a new practice, a student working with an injury or condition or just looking to deepen your existing practice, personal, private yoga instruction is the best way to address your individual goals and work on areas of specific interest. Our one-on-one and small group lessons allow for a more intimate view into your practice and more flexibility with your schedule.

At Alma Tranquila you will experience Classical Hatha customized just for you and your group. An ancient and holistic school of yoga born deep in the mountains of India over 2,000 years ago, our Hatha classes include breath work (pranayama), physical postures (asana) and meditation to balance your mind, body and soul. Asanas are practiced more slowly with an emphasis on alignment. Expect simplicity, repetition and ease of movement. You will increase strength, flexibility and regulate hormone function in the body. Hatha can not only change how we feel physically, but mentally and emotionally as well. It is grounding for the body’s energy, can enhance feelings of happiness and well being and provides an opportunity to unwind and release tension in both the body and the mind. Hatha can be an excellent counterpoint to both busy lifestyles and cardio workouts.
